Workshop on Labour Law Amendments
The CCMA is offering a facilitated workshop on the proposed amendments to labour legislation which are likely to come into effect during 2014. The full-day, interactive workshop covers proposed amendments to the -
- Labour Relations Act;
- Employment Equity Act; and
- Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
The workshop is designed for all users of the CCMA and Bargaining Councils, including union officials and shop stewards, employer organisation representatives, legal practitioners and HR / IR managers. Workshops will be held in all CCMA regions and will be facilitated by experienced CCMA commissioners.
The training will cover all the main aspects of the proposed amendments and in each case will address the reasons for the legislative changes.
Participants will benefit by understanding -
- the purpose of the changes;
- how to prepare for the implementation of the amendments; and
- how the amendments will impact on workplaces.
A good understanding of the amendments along with their practical application, is essential for all users of labour law.
