Sunshine Seedlings Services is being proactive in the fight against Leptocybe invasa.
As everyone is aware, Leptocybe invasa has become a massive problem in South
Africa, particularly with E.grandis. Recently the bio-control, Selitrichodes neseri,
was introduced by TPCP to the South African Forestry industry. A number of releases
have been made throughout the country.
Sunshine Seedling Services has introduced the bio-control to 2m tall clones that
had been growing near the nursery. We are hoping that S.Neseri becomes established
in this material.
When we despatch our seedlings, we are hoping that S.Neseri
is transferred to those customer who are experiencing problems with Leptocybe.
