Dear Forestry Stakeholders

The forestry foreman (OFO occupation Production Operations Foreman (Forestry)) has been developed into 3 modules as per requirements of the new QCTO qualification development requirements.  Attached please find 5 documents pertaining to this qualification:

5. External Summative Assessment Strategy

This qualification (original) is sufficient for your current workers to qualify and receive a valid certificate.

Furthermore, a part qualification has been developed in the same process for learners who want to pursue further academic studies and articulate into Higher Education.  A learner who completes the original qualification together with the part qualification will then qualify for entering into either the National Higher Diploma: Forestry at NMMU (George Campus) or the bridging programme.

The documentation is communicated to you for your information and comments please.

A formal letter requesting comments is also attached.
