The Department of Agriculture, Forestry & Fisheries (DAFF) has finally awarded the compilation of the annual Roundwood and Processing Statistics Report to Forestry Economics Services (FES). FES is will in due course send out the questionnaire, which will cover the period of 2 years, namely 2009/2010 and then also 2010/2011. read more

The transport minister, Sbu Ndebele, has confirmed that the bill amending the Administrative Adjudication of Road Traffic Offences (AARTO) Act is to be tabled in Parliament before the end of the 2011/12 financial year. read more

Volunteer fire fighters ready to fight fire.

Fire extinguisher manufacturer SafeQuip handed over another twenty fire extinguishers at the Catholic welfare and development offices today, to fire fighting volunteers from Gugulethu, Philippi, Samora Michelle and Bishop Lavis townships. This totals 40 volunteer fire fighters that have been equipped with fire extinguishers.... read more
