Short Course on "Update on Forest Inventory & Mensuration"

Because of the expressed interest of the forestry industry to have a course in Pietermaritzburg we will repeat the short course, which was successfully held in Stellenbosch this year at the UKZN Campus, in a compact two day workshop. We were again lucky to engage well known specialists in remote sensing, inventory and GIS applications from Göttingen University to contribute to the workshop. read more

An advisory board has been formed to develop the programme content of the inaugural WoodEX for Africa Conference, which will be held at the Gallagher Convention Centre in Midrand from 22 - 24 March 2012. This conference, which will coincide with the WoodEX for Africa exhibition, creates the ideal platform for wood and woodworking professionals to be on the frontier of the timber industry and to network with key players in the industry. "Participation in this conference is an ideal opportunity for industry members to learn from the foremost timber and industry related experts and to discuss key issues. Our advisory board will ensure that the conference programme will address and meet the needs of the industry.
